Crisis in Ontario Schools

If you've been following the news, you may have heard about the crisis in Ontario schools. Unions and parents are expressing concern about the lack of supports for students with disabilities, leading to children being excluded, sent home early, and missing out on a full education. Inclusion is critical for all students and benefits everyone in the classroom.

What is Inclusive Education?

Inclusive education is a philosophy that ensures all students, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, are provided with meaningful learning opportunities. It promotes a sense of belonging, respect, and support for every individual in the school community.

Why is Inclusion Important?

Inclusion is important because it fosters diversity, promotes empathy, and prepares students for the real world. When students with disabilities are included in regular classrooms, they have the opportunity to learn alongside their peers, develop social skills, and reach their full potential.

How Can You Support Inclusive Education?

One way to support inclusive education in Canadian schools is to follow the example of Ashley. Inclusion is Love. Ashley is a passionate advocate for inclusive education and believes that every child deserves the right to learn in a supportive and inclusive environment.

You can support inclusive education by advocating for more resources and supports for students with disabilities, promoting awareness and understanding of inclusion, and celebrating the achievements of all students, regardless of their abilities.

Get Involved

If you are passionate about supporting inclusive education in Canadian schools, consider getting involved in local advocacy groups, volunteering at schools, or participating in awareness campaigns. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students.
